information and application
It has been my intention from the very beginning to use Karmakaze Designs as an outlet to connect with other aspiring designers and artists, whether their craft be through pure web and graphic design or through picture, sound, code, traditional art, and digital art alike. My view on affiliation is not only to develop a personal connection with my fellow artists but also a professional networking partnership. Through this relationship, not only do friendships potentially develop, affiliation is a perfect way to network one's talent throughout the web. I wish to invite all fellow artists to join me in this web of creativity through affiliation.
qualification criteria
the general requirements to keep in mind while applying
Before you dive into the application, I am sure you want to know what our partnership will entail and the following details covers the criteria and the policy thoroughly. It's quite reasonable in my opion, though if there is anything unsatisfactory, feel free to discuss it in your application.
Affiliation with your site will mean the following:- I value you as a person and an artist.
- Your style and creativity is on par with my personal standards.
- You will be respected and viewed as a potential partner or friend.
If nothing else, I expect the same in return.
You must meet the following guidelines in order to be considered for affiliation.- Your site must be art or graphics related. In other words, I am not biased over whether it is a graphics site, portfolio site, resource tutorial site, personal blog, membership site, etc, as long as it is centered primarily around art (of any form, including written works), graphics, or web design in general. I will not accept sites that redirect to a forum gallery like deviantArt.
- The site must not include anything other than PG-13 rated works. Vulgarity or nudity is not allowed and purely intolerable.
- I will be looking for creativity, a feel of your and/or your staff's personal style, and an overall clean, unique representation of your work. Naturally, this means that your talent impresses me and will amount to the slightly higher standard I expect of any affiliate.
- You should not have too many affiliates already. Affiliates are special and should not include a list of links that goes on for days. Of course, everyone's standard of "too many" is different, so this guideline is negotiable within reason.
- Your site does not have to have a gazillion hits or be very progressive as long as there is a decent amount of content in it. On the same note, your site should not so jumbled with content that it is hard to read. This makes it unpresentable and is a personal turn-off. Your site should emphasize a balance between quality and quantity.

what to expect as a networking partner
- Affiliation with you will last for a period up to sixteen months. After that period, unless we have personally negotiated to keep each other permanently, you will be removed from rotation. This is so others may have a chance to network with Karmakaze Designs as well. After this period, you are always welcome to reapply or I may personally invite you to stay in rotation if I think you're that awesome, heh.
- Your site will be displayed in the form of a button on every page located at the bottom in the footer and you will also have a spotlight area for your site as displayed to your left and will be presented in a random rotation. You will not be expected to have the same, as long as my site is displayed somewhere in some form to your liking on every page.
- You will not be expected to keep in constant contact with me as long as we exchange some form of communication every once in a while though it'd be great to hear from you often if that is your choice. Who doesn't like a friend?
- You will not be expected to update constantly. Life gets in the way and I know this all too well. However, if you do take hiatus, notification of some kind would be great. If you let your site stay inactive chronically, say up to six months, without an update, then it becomes obvious to me when you don't care about your site anyway. In which case, I will talk to you about where you and your site stand.
- You will always be notified when I plan to make a decision about your position in affiliation. I will never remove you or change something without letting you know first as negotiations can be made and considered. I expect the same approach.
- As affiliates, it is possible that we may organize collaboration in some way. If you ever have any ideas about how we can work together on something, I'm all ears!
If you feel that you meet all of the criteria, are satisfied with the policy, and know that your site is your pride and joy, take a shot and apply! I promise that while I do have standards, I am not as fickle and picky as I may seem. All entries are thoroughly considered. I look forward to reviewing your application!

All form fields are required. Your application will not be accepted otherwise. Keep in mind that it may take up to a month to finalize a decision due to the review of multiple applications. You will be notified thusly whether you are accepted or not. If you are not accepted as an affiliate, you will automatically be added as a link exchange instead.
