  • Q. Can we be affiliates?
    • A. That all depends. Take a look at the current affilates at the bottom of the page and see if there are any available spots marked "You". If there are, click one of those spots and continue through the process of applying for affilation. Otherwise, if those spots are taken, that means that affiliation is currently closed. If this is the case, I am willing to link with you instead. Check out the current links and contact me with your name, your site name, and url if you wish to exchange. I'm pretty flexible as far as link exchanges go; unless your site is explicit is nature, I will have no problem linking with you.
  • Q. Why haven't you responded to my e-mail?
    • A. Well, there could be many reasons. One of them would be maybe because your question or inquiry is probably already clearly stated here in the frequently asked questions. In which case, all my e-mail would say is "Check the support center for your answer." Redundant, right? Checking here first might save you the time and energy.

    • A. Are you sure the form was working? Technology malfunctions every now and then and maybe I just did not recieve it. If this is the case, please try to resend it.

    • A. Maybe you didn't choose your words carefully enough and this causes for two scenarios: I probably either didn't understand what you were trying to say or your words were rude and/or offensive. In either case, I will not respond simply because I give respect where respect is due and it should not be too taxing for you to be clear and courteous to me as I will be to you.

    • A. Be patient! If I have recieved your e-mail, I promise I will get to it and respond to it if it is of utter importance or pertaining to your personal services within 48 hours. Rest assured, I do check my e-mail daily and I always try to respond to legitimate e-mails in a timely fashion, but if you have not recieved a response from me yet, you will very soon (that is unless my lack of response is because of the above three answers). Please do not e-mail me several times asking me to respond.
  • Q. Where do you get your hosting from?
    • A. Currently, I am with Dreamhost and if you can afford it, I highly recommend their services.
  • Q. How can I help Karmakaze Designs?
    • A. The best way you can contribute would be to send in donations or take advantage of the services provided. Anything extra in monetary terms is always helpful! Please contact me to learn how to send a donation.

Resources

  • Q. How do you design your graphics?
    • A. I'm not sure how I can answer this without sounding ridiculous, but it's all about inspiration. If I have an idea, I go with it and use whatever knowledge I have of Adobe Photoshop CS+ (the program I use for all of my graphics) and be abstract about it. None of my graphics are premeditated, I make them up as I go along. For tips on how to make your own, please check the tutorials.
  • Q. How do you use the layouts?
    • A. All of the instructions and information on how to use the layouts are posted in the layout and also in the zip file. Most of them require some kind of html knowledge, but If you have problems using a specific layout, please contact me personally for help.
  • Q. Can I modify any of the resources to my liking?
    • A. Unless there is any specific instruction for modification, absolutely not. The only tweaking that is allowed is usually only found in layouts where the title and content can be tampered, but anything that was graphically created by me cannot be modified or copied. I worked on every resource and I prefer they not be duplicated. More about my policies for use of resources can be found in the Terms of Service section.
  • Q. May I make a request for a free resource?
    • A. Of course! Does this guarentee that I'll actually go through with your request? Absolutely not. I offer free resources for your personal pleasure, but I will provide them when I have time and in my own style. This means that I will not take personal requests; I will only consider suggestions that may in the future please the visitors and in addition to graphics, this includes any suggestions made toward site improvement as a whole. To make any suggestion for the site or for anything else, visit the suggestion box in the resource center.

    • A. If you really need something specific and you're willing to pay a little money for it, you can always order any graphic you need using the Services Panel.
  • Q. May I submit my graphics/tutorials to this site?
    • A. Not at the moment. I say "at the moment" because I am currently trying to implement a membership section onto the site in which visitors can subscribe to the site and submit free resources for display. This innovation is still a dream right now and until I have the time to make a membership system, I will not be accepting submissions right now.

Troubleshooting

  • Q. All/somes of your website images are broken.
    • A. If you have a Firewall application installed on your computer, it is most likely blocking the images from access depending on your security setting. Try adding http://www.karmakaze-designs.net to your exception list to correct this.

    • A. I am more than likely in the process of deleting/refurbrishing a layout for the site if this is the case. I have never had problems with broken links unless I have accidently put image files in the wrong folder and when I do revamp a layout, I more than likely will have a flash sign up to prevent viewers from seeing a damaged site. If these images are broken and I am completely unaware, it will more than likely be fixed within a couple of days.
  • Q. The site doesn't look correct in other browsers.
    • A. This site was tested on all major browsers, IE 7, Mozilla Firefox, Opera 9, and Safari for Apple. If there are any kinks in it, it is probably because there are some settings wrong on your own computer or perhaps your browser is an older version. In any case, if you inform me that something is off in other browers, I will investigate and attempt to correct it but it is only so much that can be done before one must say that it is impossible to please everybody.
  • Q. All/some of your links don't work.
    • A. The only case in which links will not work is if the page beneath them is not completely finished. It would be smart to remove the link completely, right? I, however, like to have them there just so that I can keep track of what I need to finish on the site.
  • Q. Will you help me with coding (PHP, HTML) and/or design?
    • A. Refer to the tutorials (when they are available) first. If you cannot find answers there, I will do what I can to help if you contact me.
  • Q. My question/answer is not here.
    • A. You know what to do then. Simply contact me and I will return your answer to you within 24-48 hours if it is legitimate.
